On-campus and on-line CLIL settings for the 21st century students

Tuesday, 20th October,

On-campus and on-line CLIL settings for the 21st century students
The 21st century teacher needs to adapt to unexpected scenarios that may arise
in the future. Should a lesson be delivered in the same way and follow the same didactic sequence that we have been used to? Should the teacher have any specific skills to adapt to a new concept of learning? How should a teacher prioritize what is actually necessary during on-campus lessons? How to adapt the current syllabuses to unpredictable frameworks?

Critical Thinking in CLIL for secondary students.

Wednesday, 21st October,
18:00
Critical Thinking in CLIL for secondary students.
In the future, our students will be doing jobs we could not even possibly imagine now. How, as educators, can we prepare our students for such a future? One answer is to focus on 21st century skills, one of the most important of which is critical thinking. This is a key thinking skill in the age of the internet, where we are subjected to a constant flow of information, not all of which is reliable and unbiased.
This webinar will look at practical ways that critical thinking skills can be supported and developed in the CLIL classroom. We’ll have a look at how to create and scaffold critical thinking activities which require students to enquire more thoroughly about language or ideas in order to reach a better understanding, to ask, ‘What’s really going on here?’
