Seville’s brand new aquarium can be found on the Muelle de las Delicias and will be open all year round.
Visitors will discover more than 400 aquatic species in their different habitats and ecosystems, housed in more than 31 aquariums. Of special interest are the various shark species including hammerheads and bull sharks. There’s also a giant octopus, giant anemones, groupers, caimans, Amazonian turtles and anacondas!
Visits begin with the chance to handle sea cucumbers, urchins and other marine life! The aquarium also runs educational workshops focusing on the biology and conservation of marine and fresh water species. There will be an online platform dedicated to materials for classroom use and teachers will be welcome to attend open door days to visit the installations. You can find more information on the aquarium web page.
