The Parque de las Ciencias in Granada is hosting a fascinating exhibition on mummies. They are a direct window to the past and can help us answer questions like: How long did we live for? What did we look like and what did we eat? And what were our societies like?
Mummies are an amazing source of scientific and anthropologic data. The exhibition includes 50 mummies, interactive exhibits, audiovisuals, and workshops which explore topics such as disease, alimentation, rituals and technology. The world of mummies is approached from different perspectives: literature, film, chemistry and biology. Visitors will find different sections including Andean, Egyptian and Guanche mummies from the Canary Islands, and ÖZTI The Iceman. Mummies - Witnesses of the past will be open until January 2016 and visitors can find out about the exhibition here.
