School children and young people around the world are demanding that we take better care of the planet – with a strike in January 2019 and another planned for 15 March. On the TEDEd website we can see a video of the founder of the movement #FridaysForFuture, schoolgirl Greta Thunberg, explaining her case, and find more activities to do with our learners (Think, Dig Deeper and Discuss) to further develop the topic in class. 24/06/19
Use materials from the gapminder.org website to help your learners focus on World Population Day (11 July 2019). This video with Profesor Hans Rosling talks about world population growth and is part of a selection of videos and other varied resources your learners can use to research the topic further.  Gapminder.org provides many interactive graphics, videos and resources on other topics based on statistics related to the environment, energy, society, work and so on.  What will your learners find out about where they live?
