Teacher trainers

MATTHEW JOHNSON is a full-time professor at the Cardenal Cisneros University, but he also teaches at the British Council and Instituto Franklin. He specialises in bilingual education, learner training and developing speaking skills. He was responsible for the organisation and coordination of the Bilingual Campus, in-depth CLIL training and linguistic immersion programme. Matthew is also a regular conference speaker at events focusing on language learning and CLIL.

IAN JOHNSTON is an archaeologist and historian originally from Ireland who has been teaching History, Geography at secondary level in Spain since 2011. As the I.T. Coordinator at his school, Ian has a special interest in how technology can motivate students and form part of active teaching/learning methodologies, to the acquisition of digital competences, video creation and edition and the use of innovative evaluation techniques in and out of the classroom.

BERNARDO MORALES has been involved in English language teaching for over 15 years in schools in Costa Rica, Poland, Hungary, Scotland, China and Spain. He works at ByME as an Educational consultant and is responsible for teacher training in the areas of English and bilingual education. He is also co-author of the Practise and Pass Cambridge exam preparation course books and since 2020 is a Google for Education certified trainer.

Bernardo Morales

 

AMANDA MCLOUGHLIN is an experienced teacher and teacher trainer. Since 2001 she has been an EFL teacher and teacher trainer specialising in both online and face to face methodology courses including CLIL for the Basque Government, the Government of Navarra, Castilla y Leon, Comunidad de Murcia and La Rioja. She has been a tutor for the British Council for in house CiSELT and TYLEC courses and a local tutor for DELTA. She has made many conference presentations at national and international ELT conferences.

Amanda Mcloughlin
